Etemenanki (“temple of the foundation of heaven and earth” in summerian) is the name of a ziggurat dedicated to Marduk in the city of Babylon of the 6th century BCE. Originally 91 meters in height, it now exists only in ruins.
Etemenanki is considered a possible inspiration for the famous Tower of Babel.
