Publish in 1953 by Wernher Von Braun and Fred Freeman (Illustrator), “Conquest of the moon” was an expanded version of a series of scientific articles which appeared in Colliers under the title “Man on the moon”.

The author was a German rocket scientist, aerospace engineer, space architect, and one of the leading figures in the development of rocket technology in Nazi Germany during World War II and in the United States after that.
